"It was really inspired by one of my favourite songs: "I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry".

The music video will also feature all of the star studded line-up after Bebe and Rita shot some parts of it this past week in London before Rita flew over to join Cardi in some of her scenes. "I hope you dance your socks off with us!"

The singer, 27, explained she has experienced both men and women in the past as she unveiled the track - which she penned two years ago - alongside co-collaborators Cardi B, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha on Friday.

But while Rita wants her song to be a bisexual anthem, she think it's "narrow-minded" to think she needs to be bisexual herself to sing it.

Now, Rita look set to add another hit to her already huge, record-setting collection thanks to her brand new single Girls, which sees her team up with an all-star girl gang. "I'm open minded", sings Rita, as the vibe lightens up and the beats become heavy and insistent, "I'm 50-50 and I'm never going to hide it". I wanted to do something that was in that lane. Charli said that when it came to teaming up with Rita she didn't gave it a second thought and was instantly up for it.

Rita continued that she was definitely the most open she has ever been with a song.

The ex The Voice judge said that to her the song just represents being what you want to be, without fear of judgement, and being able to live your life how you want. "That's what this song represents to me every time I hear it".

"Then it got into Cardi's hands, and she loved it, and she was actually the first person to put a verse on it".
