"I complimented her eye makeup and her ingenuity of materials".

After Meyers congratulated her on the now-infamous appearance, Wolf joked: "It went great and every single person loved it".

Oh, right, and for some of the jokes she directed towards Sarah Huckabee Sanders while hosting the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Sarah Huckabee Sanders called me and I was like "I liked it so much, I got every joke".

Meyers kicked off the spot by telling the former Late Night and Daily Show writer that she did an "incredible job" at the Correspondents' Dinner.

Meyers found that interesting, given that Sanders, who was filling in for boycotting President Donald Trump on the dais, seemed not to enjoy, or get, some of Wolf's material.

Meyers pointed out that Wolf's speech became the most-watched WHCD speech of all time, just behind his, in a matter of days. "I think she's very resourceful", Wolf added. When asked what they were saying when she walked in the room, Wolf answered, "They're chanting, 'Lock her up!'"

The Break with Michelle Wolf premieres May 27th on Netflix. "I would have to say that if you hated the Correspondents' Dinner, you're really going to hate this show", she said. "'Have you seen "The Dark Trombone"?". Seth takes his departure from SNL to his new post at "Late Night" as Jimmy Fallon moves to "The Tonight Show". "That was not in the spirit of the event", she said to Meyers, faux aghast, mockingly echoing sentiments said about her own comments at April's dinner.
