It all started when Rozier accidentally called Bucks' point guard Eric Bledsoe by the name of the ex-Patriots quarterback in a postgame press conference.
Bledsoe, as expected, made the media rounds as well.
The budding friendship between Terry Rozier and Drew Bledsoe has been one of the stranger developments of the 2018 NBA Playoffs, but its absurdity is decidedly enjoyable. After the first game of the series, Rozier inadvertently referred to Bledsoe as "Drew" - as in the former National Football League quarterback - and Bledsoe responded after Game 2 by saying he didn't even know who Rozier was.
Finally, on Wednesday, the two met.
While they may be a generation apart in the Boston sports nexus, Bledsoe and Rozier will be forever connected thanks to a simple split-up by the Celtics point guard.
Rozier and Bledsoe posed for a picture - Rozier wearing what has become his signature t-shirt, a Scary Terry shirt created by Barstool Sports and Bledsoe alongside him.
Because of Rozier's comment, and the guard's incredible play during the postseason, Bledsoe jerseys have been spotted all around Boston.
"Hey, Boston, it's the original Drew Bledsoe", he said on the message, per the Boston Globe.
