Lauryn Hill will swing through almost 30 cities when she celebrates the 20th anniversary of her classic 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
The trek comprises two legs, the first of which launches July 5th at the Veterans United Home Loan Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia and wraps August 8th at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.
Hill recently honored Nina Simone at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Until Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" went number 1 last summer, Hill was also the only female rapper in 19 years to have a song ("Doo-Wop (That Thing)") in the number one slot. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon on Ticketmaster.
The band broke up in 1997 and Hill returned on her own with "Miseducation" a year later, earning five Grammys for her efforts. According to the show listings, Hill will perform her seminal album in its entirety at each show.
