Capcom has confirmed that Falke, the next DLC fighter for Street Fighter V, will be available from April 24. Worldwide pricing hasn't been confirmed but is likely to be in line with previous characters.
Falke will be part of the Season 3 Character Pass and can be purchased alone for $5.99 or earned with 100,000 Fight Money. The game maker designed her to be "an alternative clone for M. Bison", and her story is threaded into the franchise's story even though she is a brand-new character. "She was heavily experimented on by Shadaloo and was forced to train day in, day out to achieve perfection". Falke's staff, "Harmony", not only gifts her great reach, but can also be infused with Psycho Power, which allows her to deal heavy damage to a hapless foe's noggin and even fire projectiles like a hunting rifle. She and Ed scared Shadaloo and now work on the "right" side of the law, so to speak. They travel in search of others who may need their help. Since her staff effectively acts as a conduit, these moves can be charged up and released in a number of ways. She can avoid projectiles while using Psycho Kanonen. Falke, like Ed, can perform some special moves, simply by pressing "either two punch or two kick buttons - no special inputs required". Psycho Trombe on its own can be cancelled into by a variety of normal moves and can also be used to absorb projectiles. To make the announcement official, Capcom's pushed out a typical character trailer that shows Falke in action - and she looks to be an interesting addition. Her V-Trigger II sees her twirl Harmony and launch her opponent skyward, opening them up to follow-up combos. Pressing down and HP+HK will see Falke using Psycho Klinge, where she jumps diagonally into the air before slamming her staff down on the opponent and can be followed up with normal moves.
