Ed Sheeran Rumored to Appear in Upcoming Beatles-Themed Comedy Film

Before he nearly certainly embarks on filming James Bond 25, with production on that set to start at the end of the year, Danny Boyle will be shooting his thus-far untitled musical comedy.

Ed Sheeran is rumoured to have been cast in a new musical comedy film directed Danny Boyle and written by Richard Curtis. Sheeran isn't new to acting - he appeared on Game of Thrones and in the last Bridget Jones's Diary movie, wile he also showed up on TV series The Bastard Executioner and Home And Away. According to the Daily Mail, the pop singer is in talks to appear in an upcoming film tentatively titled All You Need Is Love. If casting plans go well - Himesh Patel, the actor who played Tamwar Masood in EastEnders, has been cast to play the up-and-coming musician, Also on board is The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie star Lily James and potentially Kate McKinnon - executives are looking to film this summer. He is the biggest hit-maker on the planet. The comedy is produced by Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner alongside Matt Wilkinson and Bernie Bellew.

Richard Curtis wrote the script, which is keeping its logline close to the vest. "If anyone can make a film about the Beatles songs even better musically, it's him'".

His rendition of the foursome's track In My Life was so impressive that The Beatles" Paul McCartney sent Sheeran a signed guitar saying: "For Ed, who is brilliant'. There is now no other major release scheduled for that date, although it will be competing against the second week of IT: Chapter Two, which opens September 6, 2019.
