He said that even the smallest miscalculation in Syria could lead to new waves of migrants and that ultimatums and threats do not help the dialogue.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday he hoped that there would be no repeat of the experience of Libya and Iraq in the Syria conflict. "But now I hope no one ventures on such an adventure".

Russian lawmaker Vladimir Dzhabarov said on Saturday that Russia was likely to call for a meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss U.S., British and French air strikes on Syria, RIA news agency reported. "They may be only welcomed by those who are overseas and expect to hide out while continuing efforts to destroy this entire region in order to keep advancing their geopolitical projects here", he added.

She described the strikes against Syria carried out by the United States, the United Kingdom and France as a new attempt to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

On Monday, US President Donald Trump threatened to take military action against Syrian authorities over the suspected use of chemical agents in the city.

Earlier on Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that found individuals who participated in recording the video that was used as evidence of the alleged chemical attack in Douma, Eastern Ghouta, and that it has evidence proving Britain's direct involvement in setting up this incident.

"From a diplomatic point of view, this [missile strike on Syria] is, of course, a blow that was delivered on the geographical point on the map, but it is also a blow to the global law and the whole system of worldwide relations", Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

The White Helmets are not the sole source of information about the Douma attack. "That is why there is a good reason to believe that the goal of the attack on the Syrian Arab Republic was to obstruct the work of the OPCW inspectors", the ministry's statement says.

However, the Observatory says the facilities were evacuated by the Syrian government days before.

Mr Lavrov earlier expressed that Russian Federation is open to communication with the USA over the situation in Syria, saying that a joint discussion is necessary.
