Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera says he's happy with the management of Jose Mourinho.

"I'll tell you what I told him after the match", Mourinho told reporters ahead of facing rock-bottom West Brom on Sunday, where an unlikely defeat would see City crowned champions.

'I instructed him after the Metropolis match that I don't anticipate him to be man-of-the-match or to achieve two aims every week. I don't expect him to score two goals every week, either, but I would like him to be consistent to a certain level.

"So, if you ask me if I'm expecting Paul now to be man of the match every week? No".

I imagine he has to take care of that stability and with which will appear the actual match want it occurred in the direction of Metropolis'.

"When things go wrong, people don't think twice and have a go at us", the former Real Madrid coach told Sky Sports.

"I will tell you what I told him after the match and it's exactly what I told him".

But the United boss was full of praise for Pogba's second-half display against City and said that he doesn't expect goals every week, but he does want more consistency.

"We are not going to do anything insane".

"We need the points to finish second. obviously to finish fourth, we need four or five points, but to finish second we need much more than that", Mourinho added. "That's what we are going to try".

"We are a team that has already more points than last season, a team that's had brilliant matches and a team that showed character many times. Our quality has gone up, not down, and that is proof we have a group of good guys here".

Tierney signed a new long-term contract earlier in the season but the Mirror suggested last month that Celtic would consider cashing-in if £25m was put on the table this summer.

"But we are working really hard to try and finish second".

"Maybe also Manchester City will invest heavily and they don't let the others close the gap to them, I don't know".
