Vivo hasn't had the best 2017 in the region, but it's hoping that devices like the newly announced Vivo Y71 will put it in the mix. The handset will go on sale on April 14 across offline stores, and will be available online on Vivo E-store, Flipkart, Amazon, and Paytm Mall from April 16. This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 3GB RAM.

Vivo Y71 is available in Matte Black, Gold colours and is priced at Rs. 10,990.

The latest phone comes a few weeks after the launch of Vivo's flagship Vivo V9 in India. The other aspect of facial recognition technology employed on this phone is that its smart low volume also recognizes when you are looking at the screen and lowers the volume of message alerts, incoming calls and alarms for minimum disruption. The new smartphone Vivo Y71 sports classy bezel-less design with an 18:9 screen ratio and 84.4% screen to body ratio.

The Vivo Y71 is equipped with 16GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone we are talking about here is the Vivo Y71 which will ship with a 5.99-inch screen and Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box. The smartphone is capable of displaying 12.5 percent more content than the standard 16:9 aspect ratio in other Full View Display Smartphones. The front-facing 5MP camera features an AI-based Beauty feature that can identify the gender, age, skin tone and the texture to auto apply beauty effects. This phone is packed with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF. It offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. Commenting on the announcement, Kenny Zheng, CMO, Vivo India said, "Vivo has always crafted its products keeping consumers preference at the core".

The phone comes fitted with a 3360mAh battery which is expected to be enough for a day's worth of normal work.
