In the forum post, Pete Lau, CEO, and Founder of OnePlus said, "Understanding the relationship between people and smartphones, we brainstormed with our community of OnePlus users to learn what the users want most - a flexible, light and quick experience".
In another tweet, the company teased an Alert Slider.
Rumours of OnePlus 6 is already making rounds on the web and now a glimpse of the forthcoming device is floating around after an image surfaced online claiming to show benchmark information on the screen of the smartphone.
This will also be the first time when a OnePlus device will have an alert slider that has a new objective other than managing the alert profiles. The screen to body ratio looks great and there is no doubt that most phones out of China and the rest of the world will have a notch in the course of 2018.
The steady pour of OnePlus 6 leaks continues with one that's actually intentional from the company's Italian Facebook page.
And also, swiping up and down will open up app drawer or notification center or bring up recently opened apps so that user can navigate through the list and select a task to resume, or the user can remove a task from the list by swiping it away. Powering the handset will be this year's flagship processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Coming back to the gesture controls, the teaser hints that users could swipe up and down on the device for different functions, which could be similar to what we have seen in the iPhone X. However, it would be interesting to see how well does the company implement the gesture on its upcoming smartphone. The brief video doesn't actually tell us what kind of gesture controls we can expect, but as Dutch site Techtastic points out, they'll probably be similar to the controls that are now being tested for the OnePlus 5T.
