Liam Hoofe reviews WWE Fastlane 2018...

After the match, Asuka comes dancing to the ring and silently challenges Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania.

Finally, Carmella and Natalya beat Becky Lynch and Naomi in a tag team match when Carmella dropped Lynch with a big boot for the win and on the pre-show, Tye Dillinger and Breezango beat Shelton Benjamin, Chad Gable and Mojo Rawley as The Perfect Ten pinned Rawley with a double shot of knees to the face.

If we weren't already, Fastlane all but guarantees a Six-Man Tag at WrestleMania for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. With the Bludgeon Brothers being the real brutal "big bads" who awaited the champs, whoever they wound up being, it made sense for them to just come in and wipe out both teams after about 10 minutes of (really fun "superkick party") action.

What's next: Orton vs. Mahal vs. Roode, which was set up with Roode planting both dudes with Glorious DDTs after the match.

WWE could still book a Styles-Nakamura match.

AJ Styles retained his WWE championship against John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens in a six-pack challenge. The "Queen" retained her Smackdown Women's title against Ruby Riott in a high-profile match.

Cena entered as a free-agent in the last moment of six-pack challenge for the WWE Championship at Fastlane before making his way to WrestleMania 34 and fans went insane seeing him.

Randy Orton defeated Bobby Roode in the United States title match and became the 18 Grand Slam champion of the WWE. The fans cheer as Orton stands tall as the new US Champion.

Other names promoted for the event include John Cena, Triple H, AJ Styles and so many more.

Shane McMahon, minority owner of the WWE and vice-chairman of Wecast Holdings Inc, will be having an unlikely challenger at Wrestlemania 34. This is going to be an incredible match and I can't wait to see it! The victor of the match will face Shinsuke Nakamura at the Wrestlemania.

I also laughed at how many times John Cena did the Attitude Adjustment in this match.

This sure looks like the start of a heel turn for Cena.

A variety of mini-storylines accessorised the bout, including Kevin Owens superkicking Shane McMahon, and McMahon then ensuring that both Owens and Zayn failed to win the title. He's going to have to go through Styles, Ziggler, Owens, Zayn, and Corbin in a (assumedly No DQ) Six-Pack Challenge.
