Along with a bevy of new cards, Witchwood will also introduce a new Echo keyword.
Hearthstone's next expansion is a witch-y affair that brings a chunk of news cards and another dungeon run-style mode to the game.
The Echo keyword, when shown in a card allows you to add a spectral copy of this card to your hand until the end of your turn, which can be played any number of times if you have the mana for it.
A trio of Hearthstone developers went into the forest to discover the secrets of The Witchwood, the new expansion for Hearthstone. Similarly, Genn Greymane is a 6 mana, 6/5 minion that reduces your hero power's cost to one crystal if your deck has nothing but cards with an even mana cost. You'll be able to select four new heroes to join your crusade, each with special powers and "cards that create completely new playstyles and strategies".
It's been a while since we've seen a new addition to the Hearthstone universe, but we figured it would only be a matter of time before Blizzard brought something new to the party. Their shapeshifting lore causes cards to swap their attack and health every turn it is in your hand - this means players can wait until the right moment to play their minions. Titled the Witchwood, we've got a look at the first few cards for the spooky-themed add-on, and some details about what to expect from the new single-player mode. Baku the Mooneater-Legendary minion, 7/8, 9-mana cost- rewards odd-cost decks with an upgraded Hero Power (Blizzard did not offer specifics on upgraded Hero Powers, though this may function like a previous Legendary, Justicar Trueheart).
Last but not least, Monster Hunt will be a new version of the Dungeon Run, featuring 4 unique heroes to play as. "Monster Hunt will release two weeks after The Witchwood launches". There's no official release date set yet, but The Witchwood is scheduled to arrive in mid-April.
Coming in April to Windows® and Mac® PCs; Windows, iOS, and Android™ tablets; and mobile phones, The Witchwood card packs will be winnable in Hearthstone's Arena mode, and players can purchase them with in-game gold or real money at the same prices as Hearthstone'sother card packs.
