Just ask Texas waitress Evoni Williams who recently received a college scholarship after a picture of her cutting up a 78-year-old customer's meal went viral. She and her mother were brought to tears when she was presented with a 16-thousand dollar scholarship to Texas Southern University. "That just meant something to me", Wolf said in an interview.
Even tough Evoni was extremely busy she didn't hesitate.
The Mayor of La Marque has also praised Williams, adding that he's proud of her and would like to help the employee follow her dreams of attending college. Meanwhile, another customer who was moved by her kindness made a decision to snap a photo.
"I'm thankful to have seen this act of kindness and caring at the start of my day while everything in this work seems so negative". Williams said she was surprised by the outpouring of praise for her act of kindness.
The diner, identified as Laura Wolf, posted the photo on Facebook.

The mayor of La Marque, Bobby Hocking, chose to express his gratitude for Williams as well - by declaring March 8, 2018 as Evoni "Nini" Williams Day, a day in her honor.
"It's something I would do any other day", she told KVUE-TV. As way of thanks and showing his gratitude for Evoni's kindness, he declared March 8 2018 as Evoni "Nini" Williams Day.
