Corriere dello Sport have released details of Inter's latest proposal and they are looking to increase Icardi's salary by nearly £2m, from £4.1m per-season to £6.1m, along with a lucrative set of bonuses linked to team and individual achievements.
Mino Raiola is once again trying to help Manchester United, and he's trying to do that via Mauro Icardi, even though he's not his agent.
Raiola has strong links with United, having masterminded the arrivals of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford, and is said to believe that he can also convince Icardi to swap Italy for England.
The 24-year-old striker has enjoyed an excellent season so far having scored 18 goals in 24 games for Inter this campaign and he's under contract with the Italian giants until 2021.
That's what Corriere dello Sport are reporting on Wednesday, claiming the super agent had personally got in touch with the Inter forward, even claiming he had an offer from José Mourinho's side to show him.
The newspaper report says Inter are hoping to tie him down to fresh terms worth around £6m-per-season as they are anxious his £80m release clause - which can be activated from July - now looks cheap in today's market.
Manchester United could be lining up a move to bring Mauro Icardi to Old Trafford this summer.
Inter are thought to be trying to tie their captain down to a new contract to avoid losing him in the summer.
