This is surprising to see considering the Nokia lineup already comes with stock Android and HMD Global has provided timely updates as well, the most recent being with the Nokia 8 getting Android 8.1 Oreo. The renders show off the Nokia 7+ Android One Edition with a tall screen that has an aspect ratio of 18:9, and hence, the bezels at the top and bottom are also smaller than the Nokia 7 that was launched last October in China.
HDM Global will be unveiling new smartphones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2018. Even though it's widely expected to rock the same hardware specs as the Nokia 2, the leaked images of the Nokia 1 show a different design that reminds me of the Galaxy S3. Unfortunately, information on screen resolution hasn't been leaked yet, as pointed out by Phone Arena. Nokia could go with coloured accents around the display, fingerprint sensor as well as the rear camera lens. The cameras at the back will be "Zeiss" branded.
By the looks of it, the Nokia 7 Plus appears really premium. The biggest upgrades on the Nokia 7 Plus will be on the camera front as the new phone will sport dual cameras, a combination of 12MP and 13MP shooters at the back with support for 2x zoom. If true, this could be HMD's first Android One handset. The leak also show Nokia 1 in two colors, Black and Red.
Nokia 1 is rumored to be one of the first Android Go phones which will launch in March 2018.
Another Nokia phone may also be introduced. It's also believed that the upcoming smartphone will be supported by major USA mobile carriers. In terms of specifications, Nokia 1 could come with an HD IPS display, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. You can expect more details later this month, when HMD Global officially announces both smartphones.
