The Flight of the Conchords are coming back to HBO, and 2018 is a little brighter already.

The stars of the quirky HBO comedy Flight of the Conchords are returning for a one-hour special, the network announced on Thursday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. We hope Mel (Kristen Schaal) shows up with special fella to cheer the group on.

Now one of the United Kingdom shows will be turned into an HBO special screening in May, the company's president of programming Casey Bloys said in a statement.

Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement will perform new songs and greatest hits in the tour, which kicks off in York on March 9.

The original Flight Of The Conchords series aired on HBO in 2007 and finished up in 2009 after two seasons. The series was praised by critics and beloved by fans, turning the cult favorites into an worldwide sensation. The show earned ten Emmy nominations and their album The Distant Future won Best Comedy Album at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

Bret Mckenzie, on the other hand, has been doing more music than acting, writing music for The Muppets and Muppets Most Wanted, as well as The Simpsons. It ran for two seasons.
