Cena will return as the host of the Kids' Choice Awards, the executive producer of a new gameshow called Keep it Spotless, and he'll voice a brand new villain in the series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The 2018 edition of the annual awards show will be aired live from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on March 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The event awards and features kids favorites from across the worlds of film, television, music, pop culture, animation and more. According to a press release from Nickelodeon, Cena will appear as a voice on the series in a recurring role. He's about to take on three new projects for Nickelodeon, which he tells us about in the video below. "Kids just love him, which makes him the ideal partner for these upcoming projects", said Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon Group.
Those still hoping to see John Cena turn heel will nearly see their wish come true in 2018.
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will change several conventions from previous TMNT adaptations, the biggest of all seems to be that Raphael will now lead the team, while Leonardo will be depicted as the "self-professed "coolest" brother".
"If you were of my age, you know "Ninja Turtles, ' you were a fan of 'Ninja Turtles, '" said Cena".
As we've all figured out by now, WWE plans to coronate Roman Reigns one more time by having him defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania this year. "So I've had to have a long talk with myself and say, 'hey, you're not exactly going to be out there 360 days a year if you want to do all this new stuff".
