Late previous year, when the purported list of smartphones arriving with Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset Snapdragon 845 on board came out, it had the OnePlus 6 on the list.

Similar to the OnePlus 5, the new device will be available in two variants - 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. Recently Vivo, which is owned by BBK Electronics, who also own OnePlus, has developed an in-display fingerprint sensor.

However, it would be safe to speculate that the upcoming device would follow chronological order and would be named OnePlus 6.

Few other details were revealed about the OnePlus 6.

Just like iPhone X, OnePlus' next device will also have the same 3D camera module that uses infrared light to measure depth. He wouldn't even say its name (though our money is on OnePlus 6).

Like previous iterations, OnePlus 6 is also expected to come with a cost-effective price tag, nearly half of what top branded phones cost.

OnePlus has a foolproof plan ready for 2018. "If the right opportunity and right timing come along, we'll be very happy to experiment", Lau added.

The OnePlus 6 too is expected to come with some top of the line features at a reasonable price which is expected to be somewhere around Rs. 40,000/- in India.

While talking about making its phones available through the US carriers Lau said that only when the right opportunity and time arrives, OnePlus will consider experimenting with it. Market analysts have estimated that around 85 percent to 90 percent consumers in the USA purchase smartphones through their carrier.

When it comes to specs, Pete didn't reveal much but it is confirmed that it will run on Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 845 processor.

Analysts project that about 85% to 95% of people in the United States buy their smartphones through their carrier.

Word-of-mouth has been a crucial key to their growth as a brand in their four-year existence.
