OnePlus made a decision to "revisit a classic" last week, unveiling a special Sandstone White edition of the already handsome and popular 5T smartphone that tapped into the nostalgia of the company's early supporters.
"We are happy to kick-start 2018 with the much-requested OnePlus 5T "Lava Red" edition, our first-ever red smartphone that will certainly appeal to those looking for the flawless balance of attractive design and powerful features", Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India, said in a statement. Later it was expected to arrive on January 23, but now it looks like this new color edition will come even sooner.
Currently, the Lava Red is available only as the higher-end OnePlus 5T model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of on-board storage. The company further says, "The radiant Lava Red color shade is achieved through accurate combination of temperature, consistency and baking time with less than 0.01 percent variation". Additionally, it uses two anodic oxidation processes, using double blasting and an AF coating to ensure the texture and feel. To begin with, if you are an Idea Cellular user, you will get 2GB data per for 28 days on every recharge of Rs 357. These would be applicable for a period of 18 months. The OP5T Lava red variant is set to go on sales from January 20, 2018. Buyers will also get Rs.250 cashback on Amazon Pay and will also get 12 months of damage protection be Servify. Under the hood is a 3300mAh non-removable battery.
The OnePlus 5T camera has been touted as a low-light expert and that might be true considering that the primary camera comes with aperture of F/1.7.
The OnePlus 5T is a dual SIM smartphone that runs OxygenOS 4.7.6 based on Android Nougat (). The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of inbuilt storage.
