The news was shared at The Game Awards, where The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and director Hidemaro Fujibayashi took to the stage to thank everyone for their support.
As far as the "awesome" that we discussed, there's some cool new stuff for Link to do within the game, including riding his beloved Epona with HORSE ARMOR (no, we're not kidding), as well as a horse-shaped motorcycle.
The Champions' Ballad is available starting tonight on Nintendo Switch and Wii U, so you can go ahead and get started now! Still, even with all the memories completed, there were some slight loose ends in Zelda's story, and many of them involved her four Champions. Interestingly, it also revealed beating all of the DLC's challenges will unlock a motorcycle for Link. It will include a brand new story focusing on Mipha, Daruk, Revali, Urbosa, and Zelda, as well as new weapons, new armor, new puzzles and what looks like a new dungeon.
Link is a biker now, and I mean right now.
At this year's Game Awards, a trailer for the Breath of the Wild The Champions' Ballad DLC was shown, after which it was announced that the DLC will be available tonight (December 7).
