The Game Awards are underway and Nintendo America's Reggie Fils-Aime took to the stage with host Geoff knightly to announce some big news for Platinum Games fans. We remember Nintendo doing this before with the original Bayonetta 2 release on the Wii U. A teaser trailer showed gameplay footage of the action game cult classics running on Switch in handheld mode - the first time the games have been playable on the go.
Bayonetta 3 is headed to Switch, and of course we have no freaking idea about release date or story or any of the stuff you want to know. The previous games were critical darlings, but the audience was tough to reach. With the first two games not far from us, and a third on the way, we can't wait to see what Platinum games has in store!
Anyway, we're always down for more Bayonetta, and happy she's become an unofficial Nintendo mascot. Still, what an incredible get for Nintendo as it heads into the second year of the Switch.
