Simmba is a remake of the 2015 Telugu action film, Temper. The first poster of the film was shared by Ranveer through his Twitter account.
KJo along with Ranveer and the producers of the film, took to Twitter to share the first official poster of the film featuring Ranveer in a police uniform complete with the handlebar moustache and aviators.
Rohit Shetty is coming off the success of his fourth Gol Maal movie. Co-produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions, Simmba is scheduled to arrive in theatres across the world on 28th December, 2018. This will be the first time people will see him performing so many action sequences. However, in September this year, director Shetty had clarified that while they had acquired the rights to the Telugu film, the Hindi film will see only a few scenes recreated from the original. Ranveer is now awaiting the release of his controversial upcoming film with Deepika Padukone, Padmavati. he is also working in Zoya Akhtar's film Gully Boy that is based on Mumbai's street rappers.
