Prince George has already made it clear he wants a police auto for Christmas, and now his dad, Prince William, revealed he had a pretty great part in his school's holiday play: a sheep.

Taking part in the play, by portraying the three kings, angels and all-important animals on deck for the birth of Jesus, is an annual pre-Christmas break tradition in England.

George started school at Thomas's Battersea in London this September and is reported to be settling in well and mixing with all his classmates.

While speaking to children about their royal plans for the holidays, William said: 'I went to my boy's nativity play. "It was amusing", he said according to The Telegraph.

'He was a sheep, ' William added laughing.

The prince and wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, visited the group during a "stepping out" session, in which the children gave their feedback on new programmes.
