Operation White Noise Helps Rainbow Six Siege Hit 25 Million Players

While it is worth noting that this is 25 million registered player rather than 25 million copies sold, the statistic alone is still notable when considering how well both back-catalog sales and "player recurring investment" have done for the company as of late. The announcement was made just ahead of the launch of the White Noise DLC. Dokkaebi and Vigil are from South Korea's 707th Special Mission Battalion, whilst Zofia joins the Polish CTU GROM as its second member. These include new playable Operators, a fresh new multiplayer map, and various customization options.

The new season includes the new map Mok Myeok Tower, set in a high-rise building in South Korea, where Team Rainbow will have to intervene. She is joined in the Attacker role by Zofia who is armed with the KS79 Lifeline, a grenade launcher capable of firing explosive and concussive rounds. The new map offers a variety of new environments to fight with an emphasis on vertical maneuverability.

This all comes at the same time as Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Siege has grown beyond the 25 million registered players mark.

The developer has already announced a Year 3 of post-launch content for the game as it continues to provide new quality content for the community to enjoy. As the game progressed, we continued to develop it with the community in mind.

Owners of the Season 2 Pass can access those operators right now, but those who don't must wait for a week before being able to purchase them individually using either R6 Credits or built up Renown.
