"Accused has been arrested and a special investigation team (SIT) has been set up for investigation in the case", Home Minister (Rajasthan) Gulab Chand Kataria said.

Meanwhile, a half-burnt body of a man was found on Thursday (7 December) morning near a road in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district and police suspect it could be of Afrazul's.

In the video that went viral, Raigar can be seen beating up Sheikh and then pouring kerosene oil on his body and burning him alive. The incident took place in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district and the video has gone viral.

In the beginning of the video, Shambhu Lal Regar, in a red shirt and white pants, is seen on the video with Afrazul, who quietly follows him to a spot.

The killer got a friend along to record the video that shows the entire incident in vivid detail. However, Afrazul's identity remained unknown till the video surfaced on social media.

Who's responsible for brainwashing Shambhulal Raigar, that he's ready to kill to prevent "love jihad" and readily own up as well, victorious, confident, unapologetic?

According to the inspector general of Udaipur, Anand Srivastava, the accused was also seen shouting at the victim in the video. In the video, Afrazul was seen crying for help even as Raigar attacks him with an axe and then burns him alive. The police later found his charred remains. The victim has been identified by some as Mohammed Bhatta Sheikh, and his murder weapon is believed to be an axe. "Multiple police teams are searching for him", said SHO Meena.

On 19 November, a controversial booklet and a pamphlet warning Hindu girls of "love jihad" was allegedly distributed at a stall in a Hindu spiritual and service fair in Jaipur, prompting the police to order an inquiry.
