Loveland-area weather: Mostly sunny; high in mid-30s

At Auto Club Speedway, Magic of Lights, a holiday lights experience, was cancelled on both December 4 and 5 due to the winds.

Some power outages have already been reported, according to DTE Energy's Outage Map.

The National Weather Service has a Wind Advisory for the Lansing and Jackson areas through 7 P.M. A high wind warning and a red flag warning remain in effect.


A sunny, albeit chilly, day is in store for Topeka-area residents on Wednesday, as highs should top out in the mid-40s with wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour making it feel much colder than that.

Travelers on north-south highways especially should be prepared for sudden gusts that could temporarily cause problems controlling your vehicle - most affected will be high-profile vehicles such as trucks, trailers, buses and vans.

Wednesday night - Areas of blowing dust after 10 p.m. Winds could gust as high as 30 miles per hour. Sunny, with a high near 72. High temperatures Friday and Saturday will be back in the 20s. Northwest wind 10 to 15 miles per hour.


Thursday night, mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Friday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 53. Clear, with a low around 51.

Saturday, Dec. 9 - Sunny, with a high near 79.
