Mayer has been busy performing on his Search For Everything tour and with Grateful Dead offshoot band Dead & Company since he released the first batch of songs from his seventh studio album in January. That's the good news.
A representative for the Grammy-winning artist said Mayer was admitted to the hospital early morning. Again, the CT native is fine. As such, the band's Tuesday night concert at New Orleans' Smoothie King Center was postponed.
Tickets for that show can be used for a rescheduled date or refunded. In the meantime, ticketholders can visit amwaycenter.com or connect with them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram in order to make other arrangements. "John wants to reschedule for a new date as soon as possible, and we'll let you know as soon as the new date is confirmed".
Dead & Company issued the following statement, "The Dead & Company concerts scheduled for December 7 in Orlando and December 8 in Sunrise in addition to the December 5 show in New Orleans are postponed".
Dead & Co. have been forced to postpone a handful of shows while Mayer recovers from the surgery.
