Capcom brings Okami HD's Amaterasu to DOTA 2 via Steam Workshop

PlayStation 2 classic Okami is being re-released on December 12th and publisher Capcom has turned to PC behemoth DOTA 2 to promote the title.

Anyone checking out the Steam Workshop for global smash DOTA 2 may be surprised to see a familiar spiritual canine making an appearance in the battle-arena title.

As part of the upcoming release of Okami HD on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 next week, Capcom has unveiled an interesting tie-in with Valve's popular free-to-play MOBA game DOTA 2. In her role as a DOTA 2 courier, Ammy would collect items and skills requested from the store and bring them to the team in the thick of battle.

With Okami HD, an wonderful remaster of a beloved PlayStation 2 classic, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC - it's no surprise that Amaterasu is back in the spotlight. Coffee Stain Studios and Adult Swim Games have submitted couriers based on the goat from Goat Simulator and Mr. Meeseeks from Rick and Morty, respectively.
