During an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, the singer admits he watched some of Katy's 96-hour Witness live stream.

He was then quick to compliment his ex by saying, "When I saw it, I was like, 'Oh, there she is!' That's her thing is to go big and bold". I checked in with it. "It's definitely odd to watch your ex-girlfriend asleep".

He prob watched it to hear her ranking of her former lovers, but whatever!

He added: 'The way I see things now, I call it 'stand in the middle of the boat.' If someone says, "I don't watch that", it's like, "Yes, you do". "Be human about it".

But most importantly, JM stressed that if you feel the want or the need to reach out to someone, don't be afraid to do it and simply "be a person, man".

One of them was, of course, about Katy Perry's assertion that Mayer was the best lover she's ever had.

In June Perry, 33, was asked by TV host James Corden to rank three exes - Diplo, Orlando Bloom, and Mayer - from best to worst in bed.

He said: "Right here [pointing to his head]". "So far, it's on a little SD card, I've been creating it myself".

He said: "It's like, if you want to text someone". It was four in the morning. "I have been my best lover so far". "It was like a post-midnight, haven't gone to sleep yet, it's technically your birthday - send!"

The 40-year-old, who admits they haven't interacted since, said he forgot he was a famous person at the time he wrote the tweet and didn't think much about it until the retweets started stacking up.

Perry last toured Asia in 2015 during her Prismatic World Tour, but skipped Hong Kong in favour of two shows at Macau's Venetian Macao.
