New York Giants linebacker Curtis Grant has been carted off the field in the first quarter against the Washington Redskins with an injured right knee.

This past week, Sterling Shepard missed the Giants' game with an illness. Shepard is listed as questionable for the game along with five others, including defensive end Olivier Vernon, defensive tackle Damon Harrison and linebacker Jonathan Casillas.

During his Monday afternoon conference call, Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said Shepard was not in concussion protocol, but that may change as the receiver's symptoms linger.

"He's not feeling well and they're looking at all the possibilities", McAdoo said. Jon Halapio made his first National Football League start, replacing Fluker at right guard. He may get his first start with the team on Thursday.

The Giants (2-8) will start Jon Halapio at right guard in place of D.J. Fluker, who was inactive due to a right toe injury.

"I'll be ready to roll if need be", Greco said.

"Sterling is not feeling well", McAdoo said. "He had to work hard to get familiar with our terminology, but he's a bright young man and he's picked it up fairly quickly".
