And playing these supers are none other than Billy Crudup, Zach Galafianakis, Shaq, Ty Burrell, Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Jon Hamm, Cousin Sal, Jennifer Aniston, and Ben Affleck.
While it's probably safe to say that we're all unbelievably pumped for this weekend's release of the Justice League movie, it's interesting to note that some other DC trivia is being brought to light that's entirely separate from the big team-up flick.
Ben Affleck! Matt Damon!
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" celebrated the host's 50th birthday in style - A-list Hollywood style.
And of course, Damon plays the villain Dr. Bolt and doesn't hold back in his "feud" with Kimmel.
Abrams had Kimmel run down the various superheroes, which included Muscle Man, Super Duck, and Color Kid.
"That's so sad though, in a way, that you went on to become Batman - not only didn't he get to be Robin, he's like begging for little bit parts in Thor." ". Batman's got one of the most impressive, deep rogue galleries in all of comics, and I think it's time more of them were given the love they deserve!
The trailer plays out like any superhero movie created through the lens of a kid hugely influenced by reading too much of The Fantastic Four: there's a plot to destroy the world, Matt Damon cackles a lot, an evil bottle of bleach is played by Wanda Sykes.
But the blushing, guffawing Kimmel definitely seemed to appreciate it. They've all come together with Abrams to act out an adaptation of "The Terrific Ten", a comic that Kimmel created as a kid.
Some of these characters might have been in The Lego Batman Movie (if Kite-Man was, anyone could have been) but that doesn't really count as an introduction.
"That was the best gift I ever got", Kimmel said.
