Jimmy Fallon Makes Emotional Return to The Tonight Show After Mother's Death

After a week-long break from hosting The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon returned to his late-night show and addressed the death of his beloved mother.

"Last week, I was in the hospital and I grabbed her hand and squeezed, 'I love you, '" Fallon said with tears in his eyes.

At the start of the show, Fallon emotionally paid tribute to his mother with a tearful story about a particular childhood memory. The talk show host knew at that moment that "they were in trouble". "Thank you for helping me and my family recover from this loss". "Look what you made me do", Jimmy teased in the clip.

Fallon's mother died peacefully in New York City's NYU Langone Medical Center on November 4 due to an undisclosed illness. She was just 68.
