Prince William met Australia rugby union star Kurtley Beale after his side's victory over Wales on Saturday.

All photos with Prince William had to be approved by The Royal Family and it appears the latest Instagram posted by Beale received the green light.

The former Leicester utility-back scored a second-half try to seal a 29-21 win at the Principality Stadium in the Wallabies' opening match of their autumn global series.

Basketball great Shaquille O'Neal doctored the photo with his own face to share with his 6.5 million followers, sending the image viral.

The Wallabies take on England on Saturday November 18, kicking off at 3pm local, Sunday 2am AEDT, LIVE on beIN Sports and SBS.

Beale, who was wearing Speedos with an Indigenous Australian pattern, said: 'He came in the sheds and said g'day to the boys, which was pretty cool.

What happens when Prince William comes to visit your locker room and you happen just to be drinking a cold brew in your underwear?

'I love playing in my budgie smugglers, so they were the last things I was wearing. It's always special when you meet royalty'.
