Nubia Z17S, Z17 miniS with 4 cameras launched: Price, specifications, features

In its launch event in Shenzhen, China, ZTE's sub-brand Nubia has announced two new smartphones in its lineup: the Nubia Z17S and Nubia Z17 miniS. While the Z17S is the flagship offering with great specs, the Z17S miniS is more of a mid-range handset that features toned down specifications.

Nubia Z17S price in China is 2999 Yuan for 6GB RAM model and 3999 Yuan for 8GB RAM model. The Nubia Z17S comes in Black and Blue colour options. The smartphone is said to go on sale in China starting October 19. In terms of specifications, the high-end ZTE Nubia Z17S has the following dimensions: 147.46 x 72.68 x 8.5 mm and weighs 170 grams. It has a 5.73-inch FHD+ full-screen (1080 x 2040 pixels) display. Cameras smartphone four: 5 front+5 MP for bokeh effect when shooting a selfie, and rear mounted two modules 12 and 23 megapixels. One of the sensors is RGB while the other one is a monochrome sensor. The rear camera setup is comprised of two 13MP Sony IMX258 sensors with f/2.2 aperture. There's no OIS on the rear camera.

The Nubia Z17S has been launched in two variants - 64GB variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant with 8GB of RAM. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back and a 3100mAh battery with fast charging pattern. The ZTE Nubia Z17S has a microSD slot with up to 200GB support and Bluetooth 4.1 along with dual-band WiFi. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Nubia UI 5.1 on the top. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Nubia Z17 miniS is an updated version of the Nubia Z17 mini which was launched back in June this year. For selfies, It comes with a 5 Megapixel + 5 Megapixel front camera.

On the battery front, the phone sports a 3200 mAh one and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, which is an octa-core one with Adreno 510 GPU. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can not be expanded.
