Martin Stein in the time-traveling DC Comics-based series, will be exiting the show sometime this year, according to a report by Deadline.

Victor Garber's Legends time is coming to an end.

Garber has been a regular on the Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim drama since season one, first recurring on The Flash as Martin Stein/Firestorm before teaming with other Arrow-verse stars including Brandon Routh for the super-spinoff. When Stein and Jefferson Jackson (‎Franz Drameh) combine their bodies and minds, they can tap into the pyrokinetic powers that make them Firestorm.

It's hard to imagine the Legends of Tomorrow crew without its resident professor, but that's exactly what fans will have to get used to after season 3 is over.

Back in September, it was announced that Garber would return to Broadway to team with Bernadette Peters for the Tony-winning revival of Hello, Dolly! The two will be taking over for current leads Bette Middler and David Hyde Pierce.

A Broadway run is a big undertaking, involving a six day a week schedule and 7-8 shows a week. It's also said he'll remain a series regular throughout the third season, which premiered last night, though he's not likely to return for episodes beyond those he's already filmed.

And while Raymond (played by Robbie Amell) is gone, a series like Legends of Tomorrow would have no problem plucking him from a different time if need be since time travel is baked into its gimmick.
