Demi Lovato shared an early look at her YouTube-exclusive documentary, Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated, on Tuesday (Oct 10), with a trailer that weaves in and out of her rise, struggles and future as both an artist and a person.
Nick Jonas alongside the singers other close friends speak out in the documentary, with Nick focusing on the 2010 incident when Demi punched one of her dancers in the face and gave them a black eye. "I went on like a bender of like two months where I was using daily", Lovato adds. It was this that led the people around her to think she was on a "road to suicide". Things then move on to the making of Tell Me You Love Me, with Demi reflecting on five years of sobriety. And that's the best I can do'.
Demi Lovato is not holding anything back. "I'm on a journey to discover what it is like to be free of all demons", she says of recovery".
"When I'm comfortable in my own skin, I feel confident".
