Stephen Paddock killed at least 59 people and injured more than 500 others when he opened fire on concert goers at a country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night. The gunman hammered out a window at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino and began firing with a cache of weapons.

In the crowd there was gunfire, but no gunman.

Danley's family members have also spoken out about her involvement with Paddock.

Authorities say Danley, who lived with Paddock at his home in a Mesquite, Nevada, retirement community where officials searching the residence found a number of weapons, is more than a mere witness. The 62 year-old is classified as a "person of interest" to investigators but remains free to go wherever she wants, U.S. media reported. "Number one, [Paddock] was a sick and demented person, but I guess we know that without an update", he commented regarding the current status of the investigation.

Police found 10 rifles inside Paddock's room.

Although she was reported to have been in the Philippines at the time of the shooting, DFA quoted reports that she was no longer in the country at this time, said Bolivar.

Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg said the death toll of 59 was revised to 58, not including Paddock, who police said killed himself as officers closed in on him.

Heather Melton told WZTV in Nashville that her husband "saved my life and lost his".

The official said US authorities were eager to question Danley, who described herself on social media websites as a "casino professional", mother and grandmother, about whether Paddock encouraged her to leave the United States before he went on his rampage.

Details started to emerge Tuesday about some of the victims, a kindergarten teacher from California who had married her childhood sweetheart, a Tennessee nurse, a high-school secretary from New Mexico. The 64-year-old often berated Danley in public, Esperanza Mendoza, the coffee shop's supervisor, said.

Patrick Benjamin Paddock, who went by a variety of aliases including "Chromedome" and "Old Baldy", was arrested in his 30s for robbing a Valley National Bank in Phoenix in 1960. He went on cruises.

Eric Paddock, Stephen Paddock's brother, said the family was estranged from Benjamin Paddock after Eric's birth, and Benjamin Paddock is now deceased.

Speaking at a press conference, he said law enforcement authorities are in communication with Danley and anticipate "some information here from her shortly".

It comes ahead of a condolence visit by President Donald Trump to Las Vegas on Wednesday.

"He looked like he never slept because of the large bags under his eyes", Mendoza said, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Meanwhile, Democrats renewed their call Monday for new gun safety legislation. "But, to know this, as a person, I don't want to get upset".

Carrie Underwood posted on Twitter: "Woke up to such terrible news. May the Lord bring some comfort to them". "Once again, our hearts and prayers are with everyone in Las Vegas and those affected".

Danley arrived in Manila on Sept. 15, more than two weeks before the mass shooting in Las Vegas, then flew to Hong Kong on Sept. 22 and returned in Manila on Sept. 25.
